Stone Ward is a full serviced agency based out of several states in the US and were working with an US based national fitness company for paid advertising. The complexity of the tracking across the different types of events and marketing platforms required a review to confirm that everything was working as expected to drive business outcomes.

The key outcome was to review the setup of GTM as a tag management tool alongside the website itself by replicating the funnel for different types of events that required tracking for paid marketing purposes. This concentrated on 5 core lead gen journeys alongside a purchase funnel made up of 5 steps.

Through the audit, areas of improvement to ensuring tags fired correctly and did not duplicate was the key findings. The overarching governance and evolution of tag management, especially with relation to working with multiple 3rd parties was also called out, to have more consistent tracking with more data points accessible to feed into marketing pixels.
